4.1     INTRODUCTION

 

Ved College of Nursing Obtained No Objection Certificate (NOC) for its B.Sc.-Nursing (Post Basic) course from the Haryana Government & is approved by the Haryana Nursing Council (HNRC) Chandigarh & Indian Nursing Council (INC) New Delhi.  The College is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra (Haryana) & is functioning as per norms laid down by the INC New Delhi & Kurukshetra University with regard to implementation of Curriculum & conducting of examination and award of degree.

4.2     OBJECTIVE:

 

On completion of Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree Programme the graduates will be able to:

1.      Demonstrate competency in Nursing Skill.

2.      Participate as members of health team in the preventive, curative and restorative health care delivery system of the country.

3.     Demonstrate skills in communication and interpersonal relationship, with other health member of team.

4.     Demonstrate leadership qualities and decision-making abilities in various situations of Hospital and community settings.

5.      Participate in research activities and utilize research findings in improving nursing practice.

4.3     ADMISSION PROCEDURE

 

4.3.1  ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 

The applicant must have passed GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) from recognized Nursing

Institute and have RN RM certificate.

4.4     Requirement  FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM:

 

Application should be submitted on the prescribed form along with Photostat documents duly attested.

        i.            G.N.M. certificate, Mark sheet, RNRM certificate

      ii.            Certificate of date of birth,

    iii.            Scheduled Caste/Backward class Certificate duly certified,

   iv.            Detailed marks certificate of (10+2) or any equivalent qualification examination.

     v.            Envelope containing 2 copies of passport size recent photograph pasted on Admission application form.

   vi.            Experience certificate as a staff nurse/any other certificate.

 

Note: Please bring all the original Certificates at the time of interview for verification by the Admission Committee for Submission to Kurukshetra University.

4.5     Uniform:

a.      4 white half sleeves coat up to 4” above knee.

b.     4 white trousers with  white scrubs (tops) (tight fit not permitted) length of scrubs up to mid thigh.

c.     White shoes without any colored designs.

d.     Black full sleeves, V neck cardigan, for winters.

4.7     GRADING OF EXAMINATION:

 

Distinction

ii)  Essential for Awarding degree:-

1)  Successful candidates shall be classified, as under on the total aggregate number of marks in all Parts examinations taken together.

 

2)   A candidate has to pass in theory and practical exam separately in each of the   

      paper.

3)   If a candidate fails in either theory or practical paper he/she has to re-appear

      for both the papers (Theory and Practical)

 

5)  Maximum numbers of attempts permitted for each paper is 3 including first

       attempt.

6)  Candidate shall not be admitted to the subsequent higher examination unless the

         candidate has passed the previous examination.

7)  The maximum period to complete the course successfully should not exceed 8   

         years.
